Our Mission

Spotlight on Nursing is a not for profit 501c3 organization that was founded to support nursing initiatives in central Indiana. With the demand for nursing increasing, a concerted community effort is essential to promote and support nursing careers.

The annual Spotlight on Nursing “For Tomorrow’s Nurses” Run/Walk was created to heighten community awareness for the nursing profession. Proceeds from the event benefit the Nursing 2000 Scholarship Fund and additional scholarships for those pursuing advanced degrees, with the express purpose of increasing nursing faculty in Indiana.  The Nursing 2000 Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to universities and colleges to assist nursing students with their financial commitments.  More than $254,000 has been raised for nursing scholarships since 2002.
